SGT. H2O's Aquatic Boot Camp does more than just get you in shape. This course is perfect for runners, tri-athletes, swimmers, people with prior injuries that limit their activity elsewhere, and even people who don’t have much experience in the water. Due to the blood shifting into your chest cavity and the compression on your body, you will have to take shorter, quicker breaths when exercising in the water. Your air capacity will be cut by up to 75% during this time, and your body will try to compensate for that. If your exercise in the water lasts long enough, and you do it regularly, your respiratory system will become more efficient, increasing your lung capacity. You will be able to hold your breath longer and also perform more repetitions at a higher rate because your body does not use up as much oxygen as it normally would. The course is designed to benefit all fitness levels so everyone leaves with results. This course also includes outside physical training. You can expect some short distance running, sprints, various calisthenics, and other "fun" activities. The participants WILL know what extreme physical conditioning is all about. We welcome all fitness levels but this is not water aerobics! The only things required to succeed in this course are mental toughness and determination. All participants must show up with a motivated attitude and the desire to achieve top physical shape. HOOYAAAH!! Upon graduation, I decided to join the Army because my Dad and other members of my family had been in the military and I thought I would receive some great training; and holy cow, did I receive training. Although I'd never been diving before, once I realized that the Army had divers, I knew that diving was the job for me. Dive school was incredibly challenging and very tough. Having survived the rigorous training (only around 35-45% of the student divers make it through dive school), I then experienced a variety of underwater construction jobs and other unique diving missions; in some instances, life-threatening experiences while working as an Army diver. I was honorably discharged from the military and decided I wanted to attend college. After attending the University of Oklahoma, I moved down to Texas where I came up with the idea for SGT. H2O's Aquatic Boot Camp. "Justin is a great motivator. He makes you forget about quitting, and the multiple activities makes the time fly by. He hits every muscle, even ones you didn't know you had. Plus you can't beat the after -working your butt off- feeling ". Ali, Keller Texas "Aquatic boot camp is quite an experience! Great way to kick off getting in shape, with Justin there is never a dull moment as he comes up with lots of variety of torture, seriously it makes the time go fast and you have definitely had a workout. Tip to participants, never ever smile at a drill sergeant!” Teresa, Flower Mound Texas |
